Q: How does Affix work?
A: AFFIX owns the land, the amenities, and common spaces between the homes. The homebuyer owns their home. Buyers choose an AFFIX home design they like through an approved prefab manufacturer, and have it delivered to site. The customer owns the home and can either live in it, rent it out, or do both.
Q: What is a ground lease?
A: It is the monthly fee paid to rent the location where your home is placed. It is similar to renting a boat slip - you own your boat, but pay a monthly fee to the marina to keep your boat docked, and use the included amenities.
Q: If I choose to rent out my home, is there a service to clean my home between rentals?
A: AFFIX will offer a short-term rental cleaning service for an additional fee to those who sign up for it.
Q: Can I sell my home?
A: Yes. The new owner will begin making the ground lease payments upon closing.
